On the occasion of the 10th Congress of the Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates (PAHRA), WomanHealth Philippines sends its felicitous greetings and congratulations for PAHRA's decades-long commitment to the realization of human rights.
It has been a long and arduous struggle and PAHRA has interpreted and highlighted the significant aspects of human rights through changing times, from civil and political rights to economic, social and cultural rights as basis for the individual and the collective development and well-being of our people. Embedded and integral to these are women's human rights to be free from any form of violence, coercion and discrimination, reproductive self-determination, economic autonomy and political decision-making that are at the core of women's aspirations for empowerment and gender equality. These form the threads of our common struggle for human rights.
We extend our friendship and support to PAHRA, as well as our cooperation and solidarity, and we hope that PAHRA will continue to be at the forefront of the fight for the defense of human rights and dignity of all Filipinos in the years ahead.
