Atty. Rod Domingo
Co-Counsel Martial Law Human
Rights Victims
Dear Atty. Rod Domingo,
In behalf of the victims of human rights
violations during martial law under the
Marcos regime who belong to
organizations in the Philippine Alliance
of Human Rights Advocates (PAHRA), we
would like to express concern over the
recent report that some checks belonging
to similar victims have been encashed by
fake claimants. We are further alarmed
that these fake claimants are poor
people used by persons known to you. All
involved lawless elements should be
determinedly prosecuted.

Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo

When I was told of this event, I said to
myself, not without stirrings of hope
and expectation: “Aha, now, hopefully, I
would know what happened to a friend
named Carlos Tayag, a Catholic
Benedictine Deacon, who was head of the
ecumenical group called the Student
Christian Movement (SCM). He disappeared
during the early years of martial law
and not accounted for until now.

Let all indignados in all the squares join
together |
Wednesday, 07 September 2011 00:00 |
by: Puerta del Sol Economics Working
Group and Syntagma
The citizens of Puerta del Sol and
Syntagma Square express our indignation
and invite all the ‘indignados’ in all
the squares around the world to join us.
From the USA to Brussels, from Greece to
Bolivia and from Spain to Tunisia, the
crisis of capitalism is on the rise. A
crisis caused by the same culprits who
are imposing the reforms to get over it:
pumping public funds into private
financial institutions while forcing the
citizens to foot the bill. Rather than
lifting us out the crisis, their
structural adjustment plans sink us even
deeper in.

Dear Ms. Navi Pillay
As you are already aware, on April 8th
Iraqi forces attacked the 3400
defenseless Iranian refugees residing in
Camp Ashraf with columns of armored
vehicles and warfare. In this violent
attack 36 residents were killed –
including 8 women – and 350 others were
left wounded. Maliki’s government has
not hidden its intention to annihilate
Ashraf residents. He has given an
ultimatum to Ashraf residents and the
international community, saying he will
bring an end to Camp Ashraf at any means
necessary and expel the residents from
Iraq before the end of the year.
